USSSA Ball Games II: Wakiso District schools dominate netball semi-finals

The 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Ball Games 2 Netball tournament has reached the semi-finals, with four top teams emerging victorious in the quarterfinals.

St. Mary’s Kitende, Hamdan Islamic Secondary School, St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana, and Buddo Secondary School have all qualified for the semi-finals, which will be played on Thursday, July 17th, 2025.

Quarterfinals Results

The quarterfinals saw some thrilling matches, with the following results:

– St. Mary’s Kitende defeated St. Josephine Bakhita 33-20

– Hamdan Islamic School outscored Namagabi S.S 27-21

– St. Noa Girls Zana triumphed over Madina Islamic 29-21

– Buddo Secondary School beat Green Light Islamic 24-20

Semi-Finals Lineup

The semi-finals promise to be exciting, with the following matchups:

– St. Mary’s Kitende vs. Hamdan Islamic School

– St. Noa Girls Zana vs. Buddo Secondary School

Wakiso District’s Dominance

With three teams from Wakiso district qualifying for the semi-finals, it is assured that a Wakiso district school will feature in the finals.

The four semi-finalists have also secured slots at the forthcoming FEASSA Games in Kakamega city, Kenya.

Classification Matches Continue

While the semi-finals are set to take place, the rest of the classification matches will continue to be played at the various courts to determine the respective positions.

The USSSA Ball Games 2 feature a diverse range of sports, including Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Beach Soccer, Football (U-15 and U-16), Lacrosse, Athletics, Cross-Country, Ludo, Chess, Scrabble, Futsal, Baseball, and Softball.
