URA FC’s difficult start to the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season continued on Thursday after they were held to a goalless draw by Entebbe UPPC under the floodlights at Hamz Stadium.
The stalemate earned the tax collectors just their fourth point from five matches, leaving them with plenty of work to do as they seek to revive their campaign.
Entebbe UPPC, meanwhile, moved to 11 points from six outings, registering their second draw of the season after failing to convert several promising opportunities into goals.
URA goalkeeper Khassim Hafizi, making his debut for the club, proved instrumental in keeping the visitors at bay, producing important interventions against an Entebbe UPPC side that threatened to break the deadlock on several occasions.
The hosts began brightly, winning a corner inside the opening minute, before Ambrose Kigozi fired wide after being picked out by goalkeeper Denis Otim’s long delivery.

Entebbe UPPC continued to threaten through Kigozi and Norman Namanya, who both squandered headed opportunities as the visitors struggled to turn their territorial advantage into a breakthrough.
Coach changes came early for the Printers, with Swadik Moro replacing Ibrahim Mugulusi in the 27th minute.
The substitute nearly justified the decision 11 minutes later, striking the upright with a left-footed effort.
At the opposite end, Hafizi demonstrated his quality with a diving save to deny Reich Triomphe Kokolo’s curling attempt, ensuring URA went into the interval on level terms.
The second half followed a similar pattern, with Namanya heading over following a well-worked free-kick by Moses Waiswa before Otim produced a double save in the 55th minute to deny Namanya and Mikadadi Ssenyonga.
URA also had opportunities to snatch victory, but poor execution in the final third undermined their efforts. Kigozi was left frustrated when his delivery failed to find Calvin Emayu in a promising position, while Hafizi later produced a fingertip save to deny Kigozi.
Both sides made several substitutions in search of a decisive breakthrough, but neither could find the finishing touch as the contest ended without a goal.
For URA, the result extends a disappointing run of performances that has yielded only four points from five matches.
Entebbe UPPC will be encouraged by another point, although their missed chances will leave them wondering what might have been.
