Express FC was among the five teams that progressed to the round of 16 of the 49th edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

The Red Eagles defeated ten man Lugazi FC 1-0 at Luzira Prisons grounds

Allan Kayiwa converted from the spot in the 25th minute after he had been put down by goalkeeper Florence Watmon.

Lugazi FC captain Elijah Brian Ssali played only 45 minutes and was sent off at the stroke of the first half

Abdul Nsereko scored in the 45th minute as Police FC was defeating Pajule Lions 1-0 at Pajule Primary School grounds.

Ndejje University humiliated Blue Star FC 4-0 at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje.

Elias Asiimwe, Nicholas Luzige, Vincent Abigaba and Wasswa scored each for Ndejje University.

Ndejje University, Express FC, Police FC, Calvary FC and Adjumani TC progress to the round 16.

The four join Kitara FC, Mbarara City, Soltilo Bright Stars, Onduparaka, defenders BUL, Vipers SC, Wakiso Giants, Kisugu United, Kiyinda Boys and Bunyaruguru United that also made it to the last 16.

The last game of the round of 32 will be played on Monday 20th at Mbale Stadium between KCCA FC and Kataka FC.
