It was a do or die girls quarter-final contest for Kawanda SS against a resilient and physical Wampeewo Ntake at the ongoing Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Ball Games II Handball championship.

In a slim 15-12 win, Kawanda SS squeezed past Wampeewo to storm the semi-finals stage of the tournament.

On the same evening, Kibuli SS rioted against Iganga SS in a ten goals difference, winning 25-15 in the second quarter-final.

The day’s most interesting tie was between Mbogo Mixed and Kakungulu Memorial in an all Islamic affair clash.

With a difference of nine goals, Mbogo Mixed took the to reach semis in a  17-08 victory.

Meanwhile, Gombe eased past Kyeizoba Girls winning 32-09 to storm semi-finals.

In the semi-finals, Kawanda SS will face off with Kibuli SS while Mbogo Mixed is to lock horns with Gombe.

In the boys semis, Ntare School take on Mbogo Mixed while Bombo Army will battle Wampeewo Ntake.

All the four semi finalists qualified for the 2024 FEASSSA Games set for next month at Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College School in Bukedea.
