St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School – Kitende, St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana, Buddo SS and Kawanda SS are 2024 semi finalists at ongoing Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Ball Games II Netball championship.

Ongoing at Teso College Aleot in Soroti, the quarter-finals have been held this morning.

In the first two quarter-finals, St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School – Kitende beat Nansana based Greenlight Islamic School 28-19 to reach the semi-final.

The other semi final was between Kawanda SS and St. Mathias Kalemba. Kawanda emerged victors with an emphatic 24-15 win.

Meanwhile, St. Noa Girls squeezed past a resilient Baptist High School in a nail biting and mouthwatering tie.

The game ended 24-22 in favor of St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana.

In the last tie of the stage, Buddo SS eased past Bakhita in a sweet 27-22 win.

In the semi-finals, it will be an all Wakiso Region affair as St. Noa Girls face off with Buddo SS while holders Kitende face Kawanda SS.

The semi-finals shall be held this evening and the final is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday the 17th at Soroti City Sports Grounds.
