National Netball Novices: St. Noa Girls-Zana face Kawanda SS as Buddo renew acquittance with St. Mary’s Kitende in semi-finals

St. Noa Girls Secondary Schools-Zana, Kawanda SS, Buddo SS and St. Mary’s Kitende stormed the 2022 National Netball Novices.

 

An edition that attracted ten schools started in Friday 11th March at Kawempe Muslim Secondary School, saw four teams from group A and B qualify for the semi-final stage after spirited group stage performances.

 

St. Mary’s Kitende and Kawanda SS came out of group A, whilst St. Noa Girls Secondary Schools-Zana and Buddo SS qualified from Group B as 1st and 2nd respectively.

 

Group A leaders St. Mary’s Kitende take on arch rivals Buddo SS in a mouth watering tie whilst St. Noa who led group B are to lock horns with giant killers Kawanda SS.

 

The championship returned after a year of halt, since  it’s last occurrence in 2020.

 

This event is another potential test for teams ahead of Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National Ball Games I set for May.

 

Group A comprised St. Mary’s Kitende, Kawanda SS, Baptist High School, Broadway High School and Blessed Sacrament Kimaanya.

 

Group B was made up of leaders St. Noa Girls Secondary Schools-Zana, Buddo SS, Canaan, Standard High Kateera and Kawempe Muslim Secondary School.
