Fresh Diary Games/Boys football: St. Noa Girls-Zana, Standard High are Aggrey Zone champions

St. Noa Girls Secondary Schools-Zana football team and Standard High School-Zana won the Uganda Secondary Schools (USSSA) Fresh Diary games and football boys championship for Aggrey Zone.

 

St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana who won the successive edition of the championship since 2015 scored through Nancy Mandera to beat Aiden College 2-0 at Lufuka play ground on Entebbe road last Friday, 11th March 2022.

 

In boys football final, Standard High School-Zana beat Aiden College 1-0 to win the zonal trophy.

 

A dramatic late goal converted from the mark in 90 minutes of play by Henry Kato gave Standard High School-Zana the day’s victory.

 

Standard High School-Zana won the trophy conceding just one goal from all 4 games and scored 20 in the process.

 

In girls football, champions St. Noa Girls Secondary Schools-Zana and Aiden College qualified for the Wakiso district National qualifiers.

Whilst, Standard High School-Zana and Aiden will represent Aggrey Zone at the Wakiso district National qualifiers set for next week at Mwererwe.

 

This year’s Fresh Diary Games National championship which includes girls football, basketball, racket games among others will be held in Gulu while Arua will play host to boys football in April.
