The draw for the 2026 Federation of East Africa Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Games girls’ football tournament has set up a compelling East African showdown, with Uganda’s representatives handed varied but intriguing group stage assignments.
Uganda will field four sides at this year’s championship in Morogoro, Tanzania, scheduled from August 12 to 22, with reigning national champions Rines Secondary School headlining the country’s charge.
Rines have been drawn in Group A, where they will contend with Kenya’s Arch Bishop Njenga alongside Tanzania’s Zimba and Kilombero.
The group presents a balanced mix of regional pedigree and host-nation familiarity, setting the stage for a tightly contested race to the knockout rounds.
In Group B, Uganda’s Amus College School—third at the national level—face a stern test against Alliance High School of Tanzania, PSSSB Huye from Rwanda, and Kenya’s Nyakach.
The group combines technical discipline from Rwanda, Kenyan resilience, and home advantage for the Tanzanian side.
Uganda’s remaining representatives, Boni Consilii and JIPRA, are placed in Group C alongside St. Joseph’s Girls School–Kitale of Kenya and Tanzania’s Fountain Gate.
JIPRA earned a late call-up following the withdrawal of defending champions St. Noa Girls Secondary School–Zana, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the group dynamics.
Team Uganda is set to be officially flagged off on August 8 before departing the country a day later, as preparations intensify for what promises to be a fiercely competitive regional showcase.
