Kyantamba, Amazing Grace set for blockbuster USSSA Luweero Netball semi-final showdown

In a clash befitting the highest stakes, Kyantamba Secondary School – Kiboga will lock horns with Amazing Grace Secondary School in a gripping Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Luweero Zone Netball Championship semi-final.

The much-anticipated encounter is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1st, at Nakasongola Army Secondary School, with both sides arriving in formidable form following commanding quarter-final performances.

Kyantamba, who progressed as Group B runners-up after a narrow 17-16 defeat to table-toppers Nankabirwa in a fiercely contested group decider, demonstrated resilience and tactical discipline to edge Group C leaders High Standard – Kateera 19-17, securing their place in the last four.

Amazing Grace, meanwhile, delivered a statement performance in their quarter-final fixture, dismantling Bombo-based Munta Royal College 22-11 to emphatically seal their semi-final berth.

The second semi-final promises equal intensity, as Busiika Muslim Secondary School faces Nankabirwa Memorial Secondary School.

Busiika advanced after a hard-fought 25-23 victory over Saviour High School, while Nankabirwa underlined their title credentials with a dominant 30-17 triumph against Homeland Secondary School.

Following the morning semi-final fixtures, attention will swiftly shift to the grand finale and awarding ceremony slated for the evening, bringing the curtain down on a fiercely competitive zonal championship.

Six schools—Nankabirwa Memorial, Amazing Grace, Kyantamba, Busiika Muslim, Saviour High School, and High Standard – Kateera—have already secured qualification to represent the Luweero Zone at the 2026 USSSA National Championship.

The national showpiece will be hosted by Sacred Heart Secondary School in Gulu from July 8th to 19th, where the region’s finest will battle for ultimate honours.
