Masindi Army Secondary School will lock horns with St. Andrea in what promises to be a fiercely contested final of the 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Bunyoro Zone Netball Championship.

Both sides booked their places in the decisive clash following hard-fought semi-final victories defined by resilience, tactical discipline, and composure under pressure.

Masindi Army edged Bwikya Muslim Secondary School 19–16 in a tightly balanced encounter, while St. Andrea mirrored that scoreline to eliminate Kakumiro District champions Trinity Catholic High School.

St. Andrea’s route to the final has been particularly commanding. They first dispatched St. Adolf with a convincing 26–17 victory in the quarter-finals before holding their nerve to overcome Trinity Catholic in the last four.

Trinity, on the other hand, had earlier stamped authority with a dominant 30–8 win over Kitara SS.

Bwikya Muslim Secondary School also impressed en route to the semi-finals, cruising past Kinyara SS 33–10, but ultimately fell short against a resolute Masindi Army side.

Masindi Army had begun their campaign with a commanding 22–9 triumph over Masindi SS, setting the tone for their steady progression to the final.

The stage is now set for a highly anticipated, nail-biting Bunyoro Zone final scheduled for Sunday, June 28, at Bwikya Muslim Secondary School.

With both teams demonstrating defensive solidity and clinical finishing throughout the tournament, the showdown is expected to deliver elite-level school netball.

Regardless of the final outcome, all four semi-finalists—Masindi Army, St. Andrea, Trinity Catholic, and Bwikya Muslim—have secured qualification for the USSSA National Finals slated for July 8th to 18th at Sacred Heart Secondary School in Gulu.
