The 2026 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) U17 Netball Championship has surged into the quarter-final stage following a gripping conclusion to the group phase on Monday morning, capped by an action-packed round of 16 in the afternoon.

The last-eight lineup sets the stage for high-stakes encounters, headlined by two all-Wakiso clashes that promise intensity, pedigree, and elite competition.

In the standout fixture of the round, Madina Islamic Secondary School will lock horns with St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School, Kitende in what many observers are already billing as a final arriving too early.

Madina booked their place with a commanding 28–17 victory over JORI, while Kitende underlined their title credentials with a dominant 34–10 triumph.

Another mouth-watering Wakiso derby will see Kajjansi Progressive face Kawanda Secondary School.

Kawanda cruised past Bulo with a 23–06 win, while Kajjansi displayed composure and quality to eliminate Bukedea 26–18.

Elsewhere, Namagabi Secondary School will take on Light College Katikamu in a clash of rising contenders.

Namagabi edged Sseke SS 19–15 in a tightly contested tie, whereas Light College knocked out St. Francis Busunjju with a hard-fought 24–19 victory.

The final quarter-final fixture pits Mukono-based Hamdan Islamic against Luweero’s Amazing Grace.

Hamdan were ruthless in dispatching White Angels 42–12, while Amazing Grace narrowly overcame Boston 15–14 in one of the closest encounters of the round.
