Makerere University Business School (MUBS) returned to winning ways on Day Two of the 2025 AUUS Games netball championship, showcasing resilience and character in a dominant 40-18 victory over Gulu University.

After a tough opening-day 51-08 loss to hosts Uganda Christian University (UCU), MUBS regrouped strongly, taking control of the contest from the first quarter and never looking back.

In a thrilling morning fixture, Kampala University maintained their perfect start, edging out Makerere University 36-22 in a hard-fought win.

The victory sees Kampala University top their group and firmly in control heading into the last eight with a game to play in the group.

Defending champions Victoria University also bounced back from an opening defeat, thrashing Bishop Stuart University 40-12.

Other evening results saw Kyambogo University power past Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) 37-10.

Nkumba University beat St. Lawrence 24-20, securing their place in the quarterfinals with a game to spare.

Day Two Results:

1. Kampala University 36-22 Makerere University

2. MUBS 40-18 Gulu University

3. Nkumba 24-20 St. Lawrence

4. Kyambogo 37-10 MUST

5. Victoria University 40-12 Bishop Stuart University
