In a thrilling finale to the 2025 NSSF KAVC International championship, APR Women defied the odds to claim the title, overcoming Rwanda Police Women in a nail-biting 3-2 victory (22-25, 23-25, 25-19, 25-19, 15-12).

After falling behind 2-0, APR mounted an incredible comeback, showcasing their resilience and determination.

The match was a closely contested affair, with both teams trading points and neither able to gain a decisive advantage in the early stages.

However, Police’s strong serving and APR’s errors gave the law enforcers a 2-0 lead.

But APR refused to give up, and their solid block combination, proved instrumental in their fightback.

The turning point came in the fourth set, where APR clawed back from a six-point deficit to level the match at 2-2.

With momentum now firmly in their favor, APR dominated the final set, leveraging Police’s reception errors and showcasing their own attacking prowess.

Police’s font-row presence and relentless attacking proved decisive, as APR held their nerve to win the set 15-12 and claim the championship title.

This dramatic comeback victory marked a fitting conclusion to the 2025 NSSF KAVC International championship, cementing APR Women’s status as champions.
