KAVC and Equity set for thrilling final showdown in 2025 NSSF KAVC International Volleyball Championship

The 2025 NSSF KAVC International Volleyball Championship has reached its climax, with the men’s final set to feature a thrilling matchup between hosts Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC) and Equity Volleyball Club (Kenya).

In the semi-finals held on a chilly Saturday evening, KAVC staged an impressive comeback to defeat KCCA Volleyball Club 3-2, while Equity edged Chema (Kenya) 3-2 in a closely contested match.

KAVC trailed 1-0 after losing the first set 26-24 but bounced back to win the second set 25-21.

Despite losing the third set 30-28, KAVC regained momentum, winning the fourth set 25-12 and the fifth set 16-14 to secure a spot in the final.

In the other semi-final, Equity won the deciding set 16-11 against Chema after a closely contested match.

The final match promises to be an electrifying encounter between KAVC and Equity, with both teams vying for the top prize of 10 million Uganda shillings, courtesy of NSSF.

The runners-up will receive 8 million shillings, while the third-place finishers will pocket 5 million shillings.

The championship’s prize money totals 46 million shillings for both men’s and women’s categories.
