Davis Ssali is edging closer to a career reset, with Rwandan Premier League outfit AS Kigali moving decisively to secure his signature following productive talks earlier this week.

The versatile Ugandan winger has reportedly reached a one-year verbal agreement in principle, with only formalities separating him from sealing the switch.

He is expected to travel to Kigali imminently to complete the paperwork and formalise terms already agreed between his representatives and the club hierarchy.

Sources close to the negotiations indicate that personal terms have been settled, including a competitive sign-on package, underscoring AS Kigali’s intent to reinforce their attacking options with proven regional talent.

For Ssali, the impending move represents more than a routine transfer—it is an opportunity to recalibrate after a turbulent spell at Buhimba United.

The club’s relegation, compounded by financial instability, curtailed what had been a testing campaign for the wide forward.

Yet, even amid collective struggles, Ssali’s individual pedigree has remained intact.

His game is defined by explosive acceleration, tight ball control, and a direct attacking edge—attributes that continue to command attention across East African football circles.

The winger first carved out his reputation during an impressive stint at Soana FC, later known as Tooro United FC, where he emerged as one of the league’s most incisive wide players between 2019 and 2023.

That form earned him a move to URA FC, before subsequent spells elsewhere kept him within the competitive fold.

Interest in Ssali has not been limited to a single suitor.

Musanze FC are also understood to be monitoring the situation closely, setting up a potential late twist should negotiations falter.

However, AS Kigali currently hold the advantage, and barring any last-minute complications, Ssali appears poised to embark on a new chapter—one that could reignite a career long marked by promise and attacking flair.
