A bold incentive now headlines the upcoming fifth season of the Uganda Boxing Champions League (UBCL), with one lucky fan set to drive away with a brand-new car at the grand finale in December.

The Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) has unveiled an attractive reward scheme aimed at elevating fan engagement throughout the season. Spectators who purchase VIP tables priced at Shs500,000 will be entered into a grand draw, with the ultimate prize—a brand-new car—scheduled to be won on Boxing Day.

Beyond the headline prize, a wide range of rewards has been lined up across different ticket categories. Fans acquiring tickets at Shs50,000 will stand a chance to win high-value household items, including refrigerators, televisions, washing machines, motorbikes, cookers, and smartphones.

Meanwhile, supporters opting for the more affordable Shs20,000 tickets will also be rewarded with entry into draws featuring items such as kettles, toasters, electric fans, flat irons, rice cookers, shopping hampers, and mobile phones.

The revamped incentives come as the UBCL continues to position itself as a cornerstone of Uganda’s boxing calendar. Launched in December 2021, the competition was designed to provide consistent competitive exposure, professionalise the amateur boxing structure, and amplify the visibility of local talent on a national stage.
Season five officially gets underway on May 9th at Obligato, with a packed schedule running through to December 26th, 2026. Over the course of the campaign, fighters across various weight divisions will battle for supremacy, with champions crowned and awarded prestigious belts alongside other accolades at the season finale.
