In a thrilling launch event held at the Kampala Nile Resort Hotel in Namanve, the Uganda Street Racers Association, in collaboration with the Central Motor Club, unveiled the 2025 Man Vs Machine race championship.

This adrenaline-fueled competition is set to bring together over 36 street racers, all vying for the top prize – a piece of land courtesy of Newman’s Foods.

“In a bold move, we are taking street racing out of the shadows and into the spotlight,” said Alfred Mutanda, representative of Central Motor Club.

“This event is a pioneering experiment, a chance to harness the raw energy of street racing and channel it into a formal, recognized sport. We envision a future where speed and skill are celebrated, not shrouded in secrecy.”

The event starts with a scrutineering exercise on November 15, followed by a two-day championship on November 16-17 in Namanve.

Competitors will battle it out in various categories, including dragging, drifting, and Time Attack, with bikes and cars going head-to-head in a display of speed and skill.

“Street racing is an integral part of our fabric, a testament to our passion and competitive spirit,” said Cax, President of the Street Racers Association.

“While acknowledging the inherent risks, we are committed to transforming this high-octane activity into a safe and regulated sport.

Our partnership with FMU and security agencies underscores our dedication to this vision.

The launch of the Man Vs Machine championship marks a new era, where speed and safety converge, ensuring an exhilarating experience for all participants and spectators alike.”

The Man Vs Machine championship promises to be an unforgettable experience, showcasing Uganda’s best street racers and their machines.

With its unique blend of high-octane action and competitive spirit, this event is not to be missed.
