The Ugandan delegation to the 22nd Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Games safely arrived in Kakamega, Kenya.

The contingent, comprising 1,582 student-athletes from 66 secondary schools and 11 primary schools, including three Special Needs Education Schools (SNES), is set to compete across 22 disciplines.

The students are accommodated at Mukumu Girls and Masinde Muliro schools for girls and boys, respectively.

Ahead of the tournament’s official opening ceremony on Thursday, August 14, a technical meeting will be held today, August 13.

The FEASSA Games will feature a diverse range of sports, including debutants chess and scrabble, while lacrosse, beach soccer, cricket, and dance sport will be showcased as demonstration sports.

Uganda is the defending champion, having won the last edition in Bukedea, Uganda, and will aim to secure its sixth consecutive title.

With a strong contingent and determination to succeed, Uganda’s student-athletes are poised to make a significant impact at the FEASSA Games.
