Beach soccer returns to the shores of Lake Victoria on September 20 as the Uganda Beach Soccer Super 4 championship ushers in the 2025/26 season, with the top four sides set to battle for national supremacy at Bunjako Beach in Buwama, Mawokota County.
The draws for the sixth edition of the Super 4 were held on Monday, September 14, at FUFA Kadiba Stadium, producing two intriguing semi-final pairings.

St. Lawrence University will face MUBS in a battle between the two university sides, while league champions Kampala City Beach Soccer Club (KCBSC) will take on Mutoola Beach Soccer Club.
The tournament brings together the four highest-ranked teams from the 2025/26 Uganda Beach Soccer League season: Kampala City Beach Soccer Club, St. Lawrence University, Mutoola Beach Soccer Club and MUBS.

FUFA Executive Committee member and Beach Soccer Chairman Deo Mutaabazi graced the draw ceremony and subsequently addressed the media, underlining the significance of the competition in the development of beach soccer.
“I call upon all Ugandans to come out in big numbers and witness the Uganda Beach Soccer Super Four.
Let us fill the venue, celebrate our players and teams, and give Beach Soccer the support it deserves.” Deo Mutabazi, Chairperson Uganda Beach Soccer Association.

The Super 4 will serve as the curtain-raiser for the new Uganda Beach Soccer season, with three matches — two semi-finals and the final — scheduled for September 20.
Entrance to the event will be Shs5,000 per person, with organisers promising an entertainment package alongside the football action.
Popular vocalist Flash Love, the artiste behind the hit “Balilako,” is expected to headline the entertainment programme as beach soccer combines competition with music and fan engagement.

Beyond crowning the Super 4 champions, the championship will also provide an important competitive platform for national team players as Uganda prepares to face Burundi in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Beach Soccer qualifiers in mid-October.
The Uganda Beach Soccer National League is scheduled to commence on October 27, making the Super 4 an important early test for the leading clubs and players ahead of the new campaign and international assignments.
The championship has attracted support from several partners through the coordination and media partnership of Midfield Media Agency.
The partners include Yards256, Tumba Juice, Embroidery Plus, Avroom Ventures, Nze KB Marketing Agency, Buijako Beach, Maama Maria Junior School–Nakirebe, LEGOBRIGHT Sports Agency, Bbosa Maria Garments, and FUFA TV & Radio.
Their contribution will support the provision of gold, silver and bronze medals, the championship trophy, team uniforms, welfare and other essential event logistics, strengthening the preparations for the tournament.
“We have worked with UBSA before, and we are happy to host you again. Bunjako is a safe sporting destination for athletes, and we host different sports.” Joseph Collins Ssemmanda, Director, Bunjako Beach.

Among those in attendance at the draw ceremony were Bunjako Beach Director Collins Ssemanda, Beach Soccer Association Vice Chairperson Peter Seguya, and USSSA representative Regina Mukatwaliri.
With the draws now complete, attention shifts to Bunjako Beach, where the four leading sides will compete for the first major prize of the new beach soccer season.
