The Uganda Boxing Federation (UBF) Electoral Committee has officially released the roadmap for the 2026 UBF elections, setting the stage for the election of a new president and executive.

The electoral activities will run from January 24, 2026, to February 28, 2026, with the election of the UBF President and Executive Committee scheduled to take place on or before February 28, 2026.

“We have officially started the UBF electoral exercise by releasing the roadmap today,” said Paul Mukasa, Chairman of the UBF Electoral Committee.

“Several activities are lined up, including civic education, display of the voters’ register, the nomination process, elections, and declaration of results by delegates to the General Assembly and chairpersons of member associations.”

The nomination process will begin on January 24, 2026, and run until February 6, 2026, at the UBF offices.

“Anyone who is eligible and interested in serving the sport is welcome to pick nomination forms for any electoral position, provided they meet the set standards,” Mukasa added ¹.

The current president, Moses Muhangi, is seeking his third term, having been ushered in as president for the first term on January 20, 2018. His second term, which started in 2021, will expire in March this year.
