With numerical disadvantage, ten man SC Villa  came from a goal down to win Express FC by 2-1 in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League to complete a season double.

The famous Kampala derby league match was played at Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku in the Kampala suburb.

Forward Allan Kayiwa scored for the Red Eagles whilst David Owori and Sheif Batte netted for the joogos as they continue to enjoy their fine form.

32 minutes into the game, Allan Kayiwa  scored from a free kick to hand the hosts a 1-0 lead.

However, the Red Eagles’ jubilation only lasted four minutes as Owori levelled matters for SC Villa in the 36th minute.

In the 59th minute, Villa’s quest for better results faced a set back as goalie Medie Kibirige was sent off for an off the ball incident against Marvin Oshaba.

The Nelson Magera coached side was forced to substitute striker Bbaale for Martin Elungati to guard the posts.

In the 77th minute, Owori set up Batte to score into an empty net to seal the win for the joogos.

The win pushed SC Villa to the place second on the log with 31 points from 17 games, overtaking third placed BUL FC who are on 29 points and Vipers who dropped to the fourth on 28 points.

Express FC currently occupy the 11th position on the table with 18 points from 17 games played.

James Odoch’s Express FC will face  Gaddafi under former tactician Wasswa Bbosa on March 19th in Jinja.
