Despite enjoying more possession, Vipers struggled to break down Kitara’s defense, with Gusto Mulongo, Karisa, and Okello failing to capitalize on chances.

However, Sentamu’s stoppage-time goal sparked wild celebrations among the home fans and gave Vipers a vital edge ahead of the return leg.

The result keeps Vipers’ hopes of a domestic double alive as they head into the decisive second leg, scheduled for May 17th in Hoima.

The victory sets up a thrilling encounter, with Vipers looking to build on their advantage and Kitara seeking to overturn the deficit.
