SC Villa delivered one of their most emphatic performances of the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League campaign, dismantling Police FC 6-1 to climb to the top of the standings on Wednesday.
The Jogoos took their points tally to 14 after a dominant display at Kira Road Arena on Matchday Six, underlining their title ambitions with a six-goal exhibition that left Police FC struggling to contain their attacking threat.

Ibrahim Kasinde set the tone early, opening the scoring in the eighth minute before John Asiimwe doubled Villa’s advantage five minutes later.
Frank Ssebuufu, returning to the starting lineup after international duty, then took centre stage, striking in the 45th minute and again four minutes after the restart to give Villa a commanding 4-0 lead.
The Jogoos wasted little time extending their advantage, with Patrick Jonah Kakande finding the net in the 50th minute to make it five, as the hosts continued to punish a vulnerable Police defence.
Police FC managed to reduce the deficit through Bedia Djuma Ikamba in the 81st minute, but any hopes of a late fightback were swiftly extinguished when Jonathan Sausa struck two minutes later to complete Villa’s six-goal haul.

The result compounded Police FC’s struggles, handing Matia Lule’s side a second consecutive defeat while propelling Villa to the summit of the league table.
Elsewhere, NEC FC maintained their impressive start to the season with a 2-0 away victory over Kigezi Homeboyz FC at Rwamwanja Stadium.
Allan Mugalu broke the deadlock in the 34th minute before Marvin Oshaba sealed the win in the 67th minute, ensuring NEC returned home with maximum points.
