In a highly anticipated rematch, Kibira delivered a resounding knockout victory over Tumusiime, claiming the Light Middleweight belt and silencing critics.

The bout, which headlined the Champions League finale, was a culmination of months of frustration and determination for Kibira.

The rivalry between Kibira and Tumusiime dated back to their controversial encounter in the National Open final eight months prior.

Tumusiime was awarded a narrow split-decision victory, leaving Kibira and his camp frustrated and determined to settle the score.

Kibira’s journey to redemption was marked by calculated precision and power.

He transitioned to the Light Middleweight division, where he requalified through the National Open and ultimately faced Tumusiime in the Champions League finale.

The highly anticipated bout lived up to its billing, with both fighters displaying contrasting styles. Tumusiime’s relentless aggression was matched by Kibira’s composed counterattacks.

As the rounds unfolded, the contest looked evenly poised, with Kibira knowing he couldn’t leave the decision to the judges.

In the fifth and final round, Kibira unleashed a devastating combination, sending Tumusiime crashing to the canvas.

The referee waved off the fight, and Kibira raised his arms in triumph.

“I have delivered four knockouts this season, but this was the one that mattered,” Kibira said, his voice trembling with emotion.

“A lot was said after the National Open. I carried that pain with me every day, but I trusted in my ability and my God.

Never underestimate the power of a quiet person. Today, I proved what I am capable of.”

Tumusiime, despite his defeat, remained defiant, stating, “I am still the champion.” The statement resonated as both a testament to his spirit and a bittersweet acknowledgment of his loss.

In other notable bouts, Nuuhu Batte stunned COBAP teammate Matovu Ukasha, while Rickman emerged victorious in the Corporate fight against fellow artiste Grenade Official.
