Prisons Netball Club underlined their early title credentials with a hard-fought 48–44 victory over Makindye Weyonje, extending their flawless start to the 2026 National Super League season.

The Queens controlled proceedings with authority, dictating tempo from the outset and building a steady cushion across all four quarters.

They edged the first period 13–11 before stretching the gap to 28–20 at halftime.

Their composure remained evident in the third quarter, closing it at 39–30, and although Weyonje mounted a late push, Prisons held firm to seal a deserved win.

The result ensures Prisons remain unbeaten after two matches, reinforcing their growing momentum as early contenders.

Their scheduled fixture against KCCA was postponed, offering them additional recovery time as they aim to sustain consistency.

Elsewhere, the day produced a flurry of notable results.

KCCA dominated both UGX Luweero (60–34) and UCU (42–37), while NIC overwhelmed Busia Greater Lions 55–23 before edging Police 47–35.

Buddo narrowly saw off Canan 40–36, UPDF defeated UGX Luweero 44–40, and Busia Greater Lions stunned Posta 37–36. UCU later bounced back to beat Weyonje 39–36.
