Reigning champions KCCA Netball Club reinforced their early title credentials with a flawless weekend performance, extending their unbeaten run in the Uganda Netball Super League to four consecutive victories.

Following a brief pause in league action to accommodate the Bika Netball finals—where Nte edged Mamba 49–48 in a pulsating decider at Wankulukuku to secure their maiden crown—the Super League resumed with an action-packed schedule of nine fixtures.

KCCA returned in emphatic fashion. In their opening match of the weekend, the defending champions dispatched UGX Luweero with a commanding 60–34 victory, showcasing their attacking fluidity and defensive discipline.

They capped off the day with another authoritative display, overcoming UCU 42–37 to maintain their perfect record.

These results propel KCCA to eight points from four matches, firmly placing them at the summit of the standings.

Their title defence had already begun on a strong note during the opening round, where they secured convincing wins against UPDF (51–34) and debutants Canan (60–43).

Behind them, Prisons and NIC are level on four points each, albeit with two games in hand, occupying second and third positions respectively.

UCU sit fourth, also on four points but having played four matches.

Elsewhere across the weekend, NIC delivered a statement performance with a 55–23 rout of Busia Greater Lions before registering a 47–35 victory over Police.

Prisons edged Weyonje 47–44 in a closely contested encounter, while Buddo narrowly overcame Canan 40–36.

UPDF secured a hard-fought 44–40 win against UGX Luweero, and Busia Greater Lions stunned Posta with a dramatic 37–36 triumph. UCU later responded to their earlier setback by defeating Weyonje 39–36.

With momentum firmly on their side, KCCA have set an early benchmark in the championship race, combining consistency with authority as they pursue back-to-back league titles.
