Buganda Masaza Cup side Buddu have announced a USD 20,000 sponsorship deal from Plascon.

The painters have officially become the Ssaza shirt sponsors for a period of one year under a $20,000 contract.

In the deal, $10,000 will be paid in cash and the remaining $10,000 will be utilized to promote the team’s activities.

The development comes shortly after Buganda Masaza Cup organizing committee confirmed Muteesa II Stadium Wankulukuku in Kampala to host the 2022 final in which Buddu will face Busiro.

The highly anticipated Masaza Cup final tie between noisy giants Buddo and Busiro will be held on 4th March.

With the USD 20,000 financial boost, the defending champions Buddu will aim at winning a back to back accolade when they meet 2019 runners up Busiro in the final.

Buddu prevailed to their third successive final after eliminating Bulemeezi on away goal’s rule following a 2-2 aggregate stalemate.

Busiro on the other hand powered past two time winners Ssingo 4-3 on aggregate.

Buddu have previously won the prestigious competition two times (2016 and 2021) while Busiro have never won the competition.

Tickets will go for 20,000 (ordinary) and VIPs will be bought at 50,000 Uganda shillings.

His majesty the Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II will grace the epic final.
