The prodigious forward officially announced his arrival on the Wakiso District school football scene with a signature hat-trick, leading Kyadondo SS to a convincing 3-0 win over Madina Islamic.

This victory secured Kyadondo SS’s spot as the fifth qualifier for the 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National boys football tournament.

Odinga’s impressive form continued throughout the season, scoring 8 goals in the Wakiso District qualifiers and 9 goals in the Matugga zone qualifiers, inspiring Kyadondo SS to the zone title.

In the Matugga zone final, Kyadondo SS edged out Kakungulu High School 5-4 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw in normal time.

Earlier in the year, Odinga was the second-top scorer in the Kabaka Cup tournament with five (5) goals, despite Kyadondo SS’s elimination in the quarterfinals.

This form has earned him recognition and cemented his status as a rising star in Wakiso District football.

Kyadondo SS is now gearing up for the UMEA Solidarity Games, scheduled for this Easter weekend at Namagabi Secondary School in Kayunga.

With Odinga leading the charge, Kyadondo SS will be looking to make a strong impression in the tournament.

This will be Kyadondo SS’s second consecutive appearance at the USSSA National Boys Football tournament.
