Kawanda Secondary School’s girls’ handball team has extended its flawless record at the ongoing FEASSA Games in Kakamega, Kenya, with a thrilling 26-24 win over fellow Ugandan side Kibuli SS.

The closely contested match showcased the skills and determination of both teams, with Kawanda ultimately emerging victorious.

This win marks Kawanda’s third consecutive victory in the group stage, following their impressive triumphs over Tanzania’s Diongoya (31-20) and Dagoretti High School (35-20) in their opening match.

Kawanda’s winning streak demonstrates their strength and consistency in the competition.

Kibuli SS, who suffered a 33-25 loss to St. Joseph’s Kitale in their previous match, will need to win all their remaining three group games to stand a chance of advancing to the semi-finals.

The loss to Kawanda has made their path to the next stage more challenging, but they will look to regroup and make a strong comeback.

Meanwhile, Mbogo High School have slimly lost 17-13 to Kenya’s Moi Girls Kamusinga.
