Janan Secondary School, Bombo campus, is gearing up to host the seventh edition of the USSSA Elite Secondary School Games from February 26 to March 1, 2026.

The event was initially scheduled for February 14-16 but was rescheduled due to the delayed reopening of schools.

The school’s Head teacher, Joseph Mukwaya, expressed his excitement about hosting the games, saying, “We are privileged to host the Elite Secondary School games, for those who have students that love sports and games come to Janan because we have all the facilities to host these games.”

USSSA CEO, Christopher Mugisha, praised Janan SS for its excellent facilities, stating, “We have seen that Janan has good facilities for handball, netball, volleyball, and a football pitch…

The host will also provide mattresses for the participants, and for this, we are grateful to Janan SS”.

The Elite Games will feature top 8 teams from various sports disciplines, including Basketball, netball, rugby 7s, volleyball, handball, and football.

The event is expected to showcase the best of secondary school sports in Uganda.
