St Mary’s Kitende (Ug) 48 – 32 Buddo SS (Ug)

St Noa Girls (Ug) 46 – 32 Kawanda (Ug)

Oyugi Ogango (Ke) 47 – 29 Andersen (Ke)

Defending champions St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School-Kitende and St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana extended their winning runs with after triumphs against Buddo and Kawanda SS respectively.

Record champions Kitende beat arch rivals Buddo SS by a sixteen (16) goals difference in a 48-32 victory.

In a high temper and tension game, Kitende bounced back from two quarters down to win the epic mouthwatering tie.

In the other Ugandan derby, St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana registered an emphatic win against Kawanda SS.

The Zana based side won the contest by a 14 goals difference in a 46-32 score.

The two sides St. Noa Girls and St. Mary’s – Kitende have a leg into the semi-final whilst Buddo SS and Kawanda have to win in their next engagements to advance.

St. Noa registered the biggest win  in day one. They White washed Tanzania’s Andersen by 87-16.

Kitende easily won 76-28 against Kenya’s Bukokholo, while Buddo SS beat Mkholoni.
