In a pulsating Uganda Premier League encounter at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo, Express FC secured a well-deserved 3-1 victory over Buhimba United Saints FC on Saturday, January 24, 2026.

The Red Eagles came out strong, with Mikidadi Ssenyonga contoversially breaking the deadlock in the 21st minute with a powerful strike.

The goal was highly protested by Buhimba stating the ball didn’t cross the goal line.

Buhimba United leveled matters four minutes later through Edson Agondeze, but Express FC regained the lead in the 27th minute courtesy of John Asiimwe’s half-volley.

The hosts rounded off the day in spectacular fashion, with Henry Wamala scoring the third goal in the 77th minute.

The win lifts Express FC to 10th position with 15 points, while Buhimba United Saints FC remains 11th with 13 points from 12 games.
