Vipers SC new signing Abdu Lumala claims that his main target is to help the Venoms reach the CAF Champions League group stages.

The pacy winger completed his move to St. Mary’s stadium Kitende on a three-year contract.

“I would like to thank the Club President (Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa) and the General Manager (Steven Mulindwa) for making the deal possible,” said the 25 year old in his first interview with Vipers Media.

“I cannot wait to get started, help my teammates and myself get better. Also, I cannot wait to meet my teammates, the coaches to get things started.”

“My target is to help my team reach the CAF Champions League group stages, the league and all the competitions we are involved in,” he added.

Lumala is a graduate of St. Mary’s Secondary School, Kitende, a side that made him known before he hit the European stage in 2015.

Previously, Lumala has played for Mjallby AIF (2015), Kalmer FF (2016-2019), Varbergs BoIS (2017) Helsingborgs IF (2017) , IFK Vernamo (2018), Syrianska FC (2019) and Pyramids (2019).

He becomes Vipers’sixth player in the ongoing transfer window after Isa Mubiru, Marvin Joseph Youngman, Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, Olivier Omadjondo Osomba and Ashraf Mandela.
