Defending Uganda Premier League champions Express FC has completed the signing of midfielder Nicholas Kasozi and versatile Deus Bukenya.

Kasozi joins the Red Eagles on a one-year loan deal from Kyetume while Bukenya joins as a free agent and has put pen to paper on a one-year employment contract.

This was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon by Express through their website.

Speaking to the Express media, Bukenya says he joins Express to ensure they continue their dominance.

“I am glad to join Express FC. As everyone knows, the club has done a fantastic job winning the league and Kagame Cup and I am here to simply help them continue the dominance. I thank the technical team for the trust and I will certainly repay the faith.” Bukenya said.

For Kasozi, he is simply happy to join the club.

“I am happy to be a Red Eagle even if not on a permanent basis but any player out there would want to be at such a club. Kasozi sad.

“I know what is expected of me on and off the pitch and I will not disappoint. The Boys have welcomed me very well and I have already settled in.”

Kasozi and Bukenya become the club’s latest additions this window after Joel Mutakubwa and Joseph Akwandwanaho we’re snapped up earlier on in the window.

Express will represent the nation in the CAF Confederation Cup this season and are currently preparing to face Sudanese side Al Merrikh in the premilimary round first leg tie this Friday at the St.Mary’s Stadium Kitende

They will travel to Khartoum for the return leg set for 18th September.
