UCU Lady Cardinals, who finished top of Group B with nine (9) points in four (4) games, are set to take on Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women FC, who were came second in Group A.

Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women FC have scored the least number of goals (4) in the group stages amongst all the teams in the semifinals.

Crested Cranes star, Hasifah Nassuna, is one of the key players in tomorrow’s tie, and the skipper is expected to play a big role to lift her team.

Last season’s topscorer, Latifah Nakasi of Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women FC, failed to shine in the league, playing four games without netting a goal.

However, she (Latifah) managed to make an assist in the last game of the group stages against Tooro Queens, and the goal poacher will come hungry looking for her first goal this season.

The Lubaga based club is one of the teams in the semifinals that looks solid, and it has been hard to penetrate their defense, which is lead by team captain, Gloria Namugerwa.

Former Uganda Martyrs Lubaga Women FC defender, Shadia Nankya, plays for UCU Lady Cardinals, and scored two goals in the group stages that won six (6) of the nine (9) points.

The two teams have faced each other four times, with UCU Lady Cardinals winning two times (1:0 and 2:1), drawing once (1:1) and lost once (1:2) against Uganda Martyrs.

The two Christian Institutes will face off on Monday 3rd, May 2021 at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

The winner between the two teams will go through to the finals of the first ever FUFA Women Super League (FWSL).
