Wampeewo Ntake Secondary School are on the brink of a remarkable handball double after both their boys’ and girls’ teams powered into the finals at the ongoing Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Ball Games II 2026 in Gulu City.

The defining statement came from the boys’ side, who edged Bombo Army Secondary School 13–10 in a tightly contested semifinal to book a place in the championship match.

Their reward is a high-stakes showdown against Mbogo Mixed Secondary School, who underlined their credentials with a commanding 22–09 victory over Kakungulu Memorial School.

Earlier, the girls’ team had set the tone with a dominant display, brushing aside Kibuli Secondary School 14–06 to secure their slot in the final.

They will now face Gombe Secondary School, who advanced after defeating Kawanda Secondary School 14–10 in the corresponding semifinal.

With both teams delivering composed and authoritative performances, Wampeewo Ntake have once again reinforced their pedigree as a powerhouse in school handball.
