Kyadondo asserted their authority with a commanding 4-0 victory over Mukono Kings, in a performance that combined tactical discipline with clinical finishing.

The contest appeared headed for a routine conclusion after John Kokas Omugul had given Kyadondo a deserved first-half lead, rising highest to nod home a well-delivered corner from Masud Rafael.

However, the match dramatically shifted in intensity in the closing stages.

Introduced with just 15 minutes remaining, Wasswa transformed the game into a personal showcase of attacking brilliance.

The substitute needed only ten minutes to dismantle Mukono Kings’ resistance, striking three times in quick succession to seal an emphatic win and underline Kyadondo’s championship credentials.

His clinical cameo not only secured progression but also sent a strong message to their upcoming opponents, Nkoma Secondary School, who edged Ssingo Secondary School 2-1 in their Round of 32 encounter.

Elsewhere, Amus College demonstrated nerves of steel to overcome Jinja Progressive Academy (JIPRA), prevailing 4-2 in a penalty shootout after a tightly contested goalless draw in regulation time.

Amus will now face Mentor Secondary School, who cruised past Ibanda College with a dominant 4-0 victory.

With eight more fixtures underway across various venues to complete the Round of 32, anticipation continues to build ahead of the Round of 16 clashes scheduled for Saturday.

The championship, which kicked off on May 10, will culminate on May 19 at Lira Town College Playground.

The stakes remain high, as the top four teams will earn qualification to represent Uganda at the Federation of East Africa Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Games set for August in Morogoro, Tanzania.
