The 2026 Netball Uganda calendar has officially taken shape, with the Federation confirming that the Super League, Second Division, and Men’s Super Division will all commence on May 23, ushering in what promises to be another compelling and competitive season.

The resolutions were reached during a high-level meeting convened at the federation headquarters in Lugogo, Kampala, where critical administrative and operational frameworks were endorsed ahead of the new campaign.

Foremost among the directives is the deadline for player registration, set for May 7, by which all participating clubs must have completed their rosters.

In a move aimed at preserving competitive integrity, the Federation also ruled that players will be ineligible to feature in more than one league during the same season.

Venue arrangements were also outlined, with ten facilities earmarked to host matches, subject to final inspection and approval.

These include Busia Greater Lions, Uganda Christian University (UCU), Buddo Secondary School, UPDF, KCCA, Weyonje, Police, and Kiboga, among others.

The inspections are expected to ensure compliance with required standards before the season gets underway.

Financial obligations for clubs were equally clarified. Super League teams will be required to pay a participation fee of 1,000,000 Ugandan shillings, while Second Division sides will remit 700,000.

Notably, the Federation has made it mandatory for clubs to settle at least 50 percent of the fees prior to the commencement of the season.

With timelines confirmed and regulations tightened, attention now shifts to the teams as they intensify preparations for the upcoming season, which is anticipated to deliver high-quality netball action across all divisions.
