Makerere University made a resounding statement at the 20th Association of Uganda University Sports (AUUS) Games, showcasing unparalleled depth and discipline in the swimming pool to sweep the women’s, men’s, and overall combined team standings.

The women’s competition was a closely fought affair, but Makerere University proved too strong, topping the standings with 511 points, ahead of Ndejje University’s 472.

Makerere University Business School (MUBS) secured third place with 277 points, while hosts Uganda Christian University (UCU) finished fourth with 197 points.

The men’s competition was no less intense, with Makerere University edging Ndejje University by a slender 13-point margin to claim top spot with 526 points.

MUBS again impressed, securing third place with 444 points, while UCU and Kampala University trailed behind.

Overall, Makerere University’s dominance was clear, with their swimmers amassing a commanding 1,037 points to top the combined standings, ahead of Ndejje University’s 985 and MUBS’s 721.

UCU, Isbat University, Kampala University, and Kampala International University rounded out the standings, but Makerere’s supremacy in the pool was undeniable.
