In a thrilling display of skill and composure, Caesar Chandiga turned back the clock to reclaim the national pool crown at Lugogo Indoor Stadium.

The former champion produced a ruthless performance, overcoming early pressure from Rashid Wagaba to win 9-5 in the men’s final.

Chandiga’s patience and experience proved decisive, as he capitalized on Wagaba’s mistakes and controlled the table to secure the victory.

The win made Chandiga only the third player to claim the national championship twice, settling bragging rights in a familiar league rivalry.

The women’s final was no less exciting, with Rashida Mutesi claiming her first national title with a 7-4 win over defending champion Marion Kisakye.

Mutesi’s composed performance earned her the biggest victory of her career, as she surged to a 3-0 lead and weathered Kisakye’s late challenge.

The tournament showcased the best of Ugandan pool talent, with Upper Volta dominating the men’s competition.
