Former national team players Steven Bengo and Sadam Juma have joined forces with Laryea Kingston as assistant coaches for the Uganda U-17 national team.

The team is set to kick off preparations for the CECAFA U-17 AFCON Zonal Qualifiers, which will take place in Ethiopia starting on November 15, 2025.

The coaching team will be led by Kingston, with Bengo and Juma providing valuable support as assistant coaches.

Yasin Mugabi, a former national team player, will serve as the goalkeeping coach, while Joram Katende will act as the team manager.

Kampala University head coach Vincent Tumusiime, alias Titi Camala, will coordinate the team’s activities.

Provisional Squad

The provisional squad for the CECAFA U-17 AFCON Zonal Qualifiers has been selected, featuring talented young players from various clubs in Uganda.

The team will report for residential training at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru today, ahead of their crucial matches in the CECAFA U-17 AFCON Zonal Qualifiers.

The squad includes:

Goalkeepers: Akisam Ndaye, Muhammad Masabo, Adrian Ssemugera, Richard Mukisa

Defenders: Musa Matovu Musisi, Frank Katongole, Elisa Mukisa, Enock Mwesigwa, Abulhafie Ukasha Jjemba, Mudawakali Sumaku, Eze Kombi, Hilala Agiga, Musa Ssuuna, Ibrahim Waita, Trevor Mubiru

Midfielders: Joseph Langol, Eric Isabirye, Brian Olwa, Bob Jerica Atendele, Ismail Fahad, Habert Cherotim, Henry Muhoozi, Roy Olala, Ashiraf Kyakuwa, Owen Mukisa, Victors Kahinda

Forwards: Shakur Ngobi, Nicholas Kawooya, Geofrey Wasswa Ssenfuka, Lorian Kisakye Lwesibawa, Ibrahim Ali Nangalama.
