The 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National Ball Games II Netball championship has thrown off with a bang at Tororo Girls Secondary School.

The first day of competition witnessed 24 thrilling encounters, featuring some of the top netball teams in the country.

Day One Highlights

In one of the day’s most anticipated matches, St. Noa Girls Secondary School-Zana registered a flying start by hammering Kajjansi Progressive 23-16 in an all Wakiso District affair.

Meanwhile, Kaddugala SS stunned Kisozi High School 22-16 in a closely contested match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.

Defending Champions Shine

Defending champions St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School-Kitende made a statement by thrashing St. Benedict 55-07 in the day’s biggest win.

Last year’s FEASSA finalists Kawanda SS also got off to a strong start with a 30-13 win over Jinja SS.

Competition Heats Up

The competition is expected to heat up in the coming days, with the top four teams set to qualify for the 2025 FEASSA Games in Kakamega, Kenya.

The tournament will continue tomorrow, with the final scheduled for July 19th.

The USSSA National Netball championship promises to be an exciting celebration of netball, with talented young athletes competing for top honors and a chance to represent Uganda at the FEASSA Games.
