USSSA Wakiso District Boys Football Qualifiers: Group Draws Revealed

The Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Wakiso District boys football qualifiers have taken a significant step forward with the completion of the players’ screening exercise and the release of the group draws.

The competition, which features 40 teams, has been divided into eight groups of five teams each.

Defending champions St. Mary’s Boarding Secondary School-Kitende have been placed in a challenging group alongside Cityland College, Kawempe Royal College, God’s Way, and Canaan.

Meanwhile, last year’s finalists Buddo SS will compete in Group H against Aggrey Zone runners-up Aidan College, St. Andrews, St. Matia Mulumba, and Entebbe Parents.

Group E promises to be one of the most competitive, featuring Aggrey Zone champions Standard High School-Zzana (STAHIZA), Maganjo Zone champions Kawanda SS, Nsangi zone finalists Kisozi SS, K. Garden Groove, and St. Charles Lwanga International.

Another group that is expected to be highly contested is Group D, which includes Kakiri champions Andy Mwesigwa, Nansana zone champions Greenlight, Entebbe champions Airforce, King’s Way, and Kajjansi Progressive.

The tournament is set to kick off on Tuesday, April 8th, in Nsangi zone, with games scheduled to take place across ten playgrounds.

The venues include Nsaggu Community, Kasenge Community, Trinity College Nabbingo, Buddo SS, Buddo Junior 1 and Buddo Junior 2, Madina Islamic, St. Lawrence Horizon Campus, King’s College Buddo, and MT. Venon Nanziga.

Here are the full group draws for the USSSA Wakiso Zone boys football qualifiers:

Group A: Kitende, Cityland, Kawempe Royal, God’s Way, Late Comer 1

Group B: Boston, Kasule, St. John Gayaza, Ndejje High School, Light College Katikamu

Group C: Kakungulu, Zana Mixed, St. Javiira, Hana High School, St. Peters Nalya

Group D: Andy Mwesigwa, Greenlight, Airforce, Kings Way, Kajjansi Progressive

Group E: STAHIZA, Kawanda SS, Kisozi SS, K. Garden Groove, St. Charles Lwanga

Group F: Kyaddondo, St. James, Kampala Islamic, Alliance High School, St. Augustine College

Group G: London College, Kisubi Mapeera, Abu Aisha, Namboole High School, Late Comer 2

Group H: Buddo SS, Aidan College, St. Andrews, St. Matia Mulumba, Entebbe Parents
