The stage is set for an electrifying final as defending champions Greenlight Islamic Secondary School-Nansana prepares to face Alliance High School in the highly anticipated Nansana zone 2025 Wakiso District Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) qualifiers.

In a nail-biting semi-final match, Alliance High School edged out London College in a 3-2 penalty shootout after a goalless draw in normal time.

This victory marked a significant upset, as Alliance had previously eliminated St. Augustine College by a 3-1 margin in the quarter-finals.

London College, however, had made a strong showing in their quarter-final match against St. Michael International, winning 2-0 with goals from Charles Oketcho and Shaldon Ssevume.

In the second semi-final, Greenlight Islamic demonstrated their form, registering a convincing 5-0 win over Rochdale.

Abud Razak Iradukunda and Simon Peter Okwi scored a brace each, while Shafik Ssegirinya added a goal to seal Greenlight’s victory.

In the quarter-finals, Greenlight Islamic had overcome their junior team by a 2-1 margin, with Brian Ssenfuma and Abud Razak Iradukunda scoring for the senior team, while Sudaice Lamini Kintu scored a consolation goal for the junior side.

The final match is scheduled to take place tomorrow, Friday, 28th March, at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.

Prior to the final, a third-place classification tie will be played between London College and Rochdale to determine who will qualify for the Wakiso District championship.
