In a resounding display, Zzana Mixed Secondary School decimated St. Mary’s High School-Katale 7-0 in the Aggrey Zone 2025 Wakiso District Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National boys football championship Qualifiers.

The one-sided affair, played before a massive crowd, showcased Zana Mixed’s attacking prowess.

Jonathan Sanya and Andrew Bill Barasa led the charge, scoring a brace each, while Derrick Olwenyi, Moral Makur Sanya, and Ibrahim Namuhwe each contributed a goal to seal the emphatic victory.

The day’s proceedings commenced with a highly anticipated match between defending champions Aiden College and Ndejje High School-Lubugumu.

Despite being attended by over 2500 spectators, the match ended in a goalless stalemate.

Ndejje High School-Lubugumu dominated the encounter, squandering over four clear scoring opportunities.

This year’s Aggrey Zone championship has witnessed a significant increase in participation, with 15 teams competing, four more than the previous year.

The tournament will feature 300 students, with the top three teams advancing to represent Aggrey Zone at the Wakiso District championship later this month.
