The matchday ten of the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League kicks off today with three thrilling encounters.

Table leaders Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC visits arch-rivals Uganda Martyrs in Bugolobi, Kampala Queens hosts rejuvenated Tooro Queens in Lugogo, while She Makerere takes on struggling Olila HS WFC in Makerere.

Kawempe Muslim will need to be at their best to outmaneuver Uganda Martyrs and maintain their top spot.

However, if they drop points and Kampala Queens secure a resounding win with a three-goal margin, the Queens of Soccer will usurp the top position.

In their previous encounter, Agnes Nabukenya’s solitary strike sealed a vital away win for Kawempe.

A repeat performance will see the Valley Warriors stay atop the table with 20 points from eight games.

Nabukenya has been in scintillating form, scoring three goals in her last two outings against Uganda Martyrs, and will be eager to add to her tally and become the league’s top scorer.

Uganda Martyrs, meanwhile, are just two points above the relegation zone and desperately need a win to climb to seventh or eighth position, depending on the goal difference.

In Lugogo, Kampala Queens will be seeking to assert their dominance over Tooro Queens, despite the latter’s morale-boosting first league victory last weekend.

The Queens of Soccer have been on a winning streak under their new coach and will be eager to extend their unbeaten run.

A convincing win with a three-goal margin for Kampala Queens, coupled with a slip-up by Kawempe, will see them leapfrog to the top of the table.

Meanwhile, She Makerere will be seeking to bounce back to winning ways as they host bottom-side Olila HS WFC.

Makerere suffered a humiliating 4-1 defeat to Lady Doves in their last encounter and will be eager to make amends. A victory for the hosts will propel them to sixth position.

Olila, on the other hand, comes into this game on the back of a three-point deduction for failing to honor their fixture against Lady Doves.

The Soroti-based side now finds itself at the bottom of the table and will be fighting to get maximum points to escape the relegation zone.
