In an electrifying match at Wankulukuku, Lugazi shared the spoils with SC Villa on matchday eleven of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Charles Lwanga scored for the defending champions before Abdul Kalanzi equalized in the first 10 minutes of the second half, securing a point for the visitors.

Inside the first 14 minutes, November’s best player, Charles Lwanga, netted from close range to put the hosts in the lead.

Left-back Emmanuel Obua nearly equalized with a powerful shot, but Meddie Kibirige tipped the ball over the bar.

Ten minutes into the second half, Abdul Kalanzi equalized with a smart finish.

Lugazi looked organized and showed the character of a winning team, as assistant coach Oliver Mbekeka had stated in the pre-match interview.

At full-time, both teams shared the spoils, with Lugazi remaining unbeaten since they fired Sadiq Sempigi.

SC Villa is now eighth with 15 points and will host Police in their next game, while Lugazi is 11th on the table with 12 points and will play Mbarara City in their next game.

Elsewhere, Kitara FC thrashed Mbale Heroes 6-0. Jude Ssemugabi and Fred Amaku netted a brace each, while George Senkaaba and Marvin Nyanzi added a goal each to seal the emphatic win.

The victory takes Wasswa Bbosa’s side to 13th, moving them out of the relegation zone, while Mbale Heroes remains in the 15th position.

Matchday eleven of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League concludes on Saturday with two games, as Vipers SC visits bottom-side Soltilo Bright Stars, while KCCA FC hosts Express FC in Lugogo.
