URA FC head coach Alex Isabirye Musongola ruled out his team from winning the league this season.

Ivan Ahimbisibwe’s brace and Godfrey Ssekibengo’s goals helped Isabirye’s side to comfortably beat struggling Wakiso Giants 3-0 on Wednesday evening.

However, Isabirye revealed that his team is not ready to win the league this season.

“Truth be told, we didn’t start the league prepared, and I should honestly say that we are not ready to win the league title.

If we win the league this season, it will be a bonus for us, but the league is won by a better-prepared side before the start of the season.” He said in the post-match interview.

URA is currently fifth on the summit with 14 points, only six points behind table leaders Vipers SC.

Isabirye joined URA FC in May this year on a one-year employment contract.

It should be noted that Isabirye helped URA FC win the league title in the 2010/11 season before winning the Uganda Cup in 2012 with the Tax Collectors.
