The MATCH-DAY ten of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League kicked off today with two games, as URA FC beat Wakiso Giants 3-0, while Police FC was held by UPDF FC in a 4-goal thriller.

In Wakiso, Ivan Ahimbisibwe scored a brace, and Godfrey Ssekibengo added one to seal an emphatic away win for the tax collectors.

URA looked better in the opening minutes of the game but failed to utilize the two chances created.

In the 40th minute, Godfrey Ssekibengo put the visitors in the lead with a powerful shot from outside the box after Aliro had set him up.

Inside the first ten minutes of the second stanza, Ivan Ahimbisibwe doubled the lead with a beautiful calm low shot inside the box.

Nine minutes later, Ahimbisibwe stretched the lead after miscommunication in the defence, and the ‘Hunter’ punished them.

At full-time, the Tax Collectors grabbed all three points, while Wakiso Giants remained winless in the last seven games now.

URA climbed to 5th position with 14 points, while Wakiso Giants remained in the 13th position with nine points.

In Bombo, Bashir Kabuye netted a brace to force a draw with Police FC.

Aggrey Kirya fumbled and conceded his own goal in the first ten minutes of the game before Bashir Kabuye levelled the matters after three minutes.

Allan Bukenya restored the lead before the break, but Bashir Kabuye again netted the equalizer in the 55th minute, as two sides shared spoils in an entertaining encounter.

Police FC is now in the 7th position with 13 points, while UPDF FC is 9th with the same points (13).

The MATCH-DAY ten of the Startimes Uganda Premier League continues tomorrow with two games, as Express FC hosts Mbarara City, while Soltilo Bright Stars visits Mbale Heroes.
