NEC FC ends KCCA FC’s unbeaten run  to climb on top of UPL table

In a thrilling Thursday evening match, NEC FC ended KCCA FC’s unbeaten run with a 1-0 victory at the MTN-Omondi Stadium in Lugogo.

Former KCCA midfielder Muzamir Mutyaba scored the decisive goal in the 20th minute, punishing his former team and putting the visitors ahead.

The game was highly contested, with both teams creating chances.

 

In the second half, Sadat Anaku came close to equalizing for KCCA FC, but his shot sailed over the bar.

Ultimately, NEC FC emerged victorious, claiming all three points and propelling themselves to the top of the table with 19 points.

This loss marks KCCA FC’s first defeat of the season.

The Startimes Uganda Premier League continues on Friday with matchday nine, featuring Vipers vs. URA FC and Kitara vs. UPDF.
